Overdraft Protection Services

We offer three different types of overdraft protection services to assist our members when checking account funds are unavailable.

Benefits:

  • Protects you from merchant returned check charges and collection agency fees
  • Protects you from the embarrassment of NSF returned checks
  • Protects your credit rating

Types:

  1. Traditional Overdraft Protection - Funds are transferred from your deposit account, Kwik-Cash, or Home Equity Line of Credit.1
  2. Courtesy Pay - Covers checks and drafts up to $500 below a zero balance. 1
  3. Courtesy Pay on Visa Check Card - Covers debit card transactions up to $500 below a zero balance.1

1. Traditional Overdraft Protection

Allows Landmark Credit Union to transfer funds from your other deposit account(s) to your checking account to cover transactions that would otherwise overdraw the checking or be returned for NSF. There is a $5 fee per item associated with this service.

How to enroll:

  1. Open or maintain a separate deposit account, Kwik-Cash account, or Home Equity Line of Credit.
  2. Visit your nearest branch location; or call us at 262.796.4500 and specify the account you would like the funds transferred from in the event of insufficient funds.

2. Courtesy Pay

Allows Landmark Credit Union to pay a check written from your checking account even if it causes the account to become overdrawn. The Courtesy Pay limit for each qualified account is $500. Regular overdraft fees do apply. Only one checking account per Member can qualify for Courtesy Pay. See our Checking Disclosure page for detailed information.  

Requirements to Qualify:

  1. Maintain a qualifying checking account in good standing2 during the initial 90 days after the account is opened.


3. Courtesy Pay using Visa Check Card

Allows Landmark Credit Union to pay your debit card transactions even if it causes the account to become overdrawn. The Courtesy Pay limit for each qualified account is $500. Regular overdraft fees do apply.See our Checking Disclosure page for detailed information.

How to Enroll:

  1. Maintain a qualifying checking account in good standing2 during the initial 90 days after the account is opened and debit card.
  2. Complete and submit our Overdraft / Courtesy Pay (Check Card) Opt-In Form, visit your nearest branch location, or call us at 262.796.4500
